Manufacturer Backing
As the UK and Ireland agent for Wolff cranes we have the continued support from the manufacturer WOLFFKRAN and have a close working relationship with them. This is comfort for many customers.

As an operator of Alimak Hoists our Hoist division also has a close relationship with Alimak.

Erection Time
By concentrating all our efforts on the one make of crane we know our product and can safely erect a lot of cranes within a day allowing our customer to take advantage of the crane hook earlier than anticipated.

Engineering Department
As well as having unlimited access to the WOLFFKRAN engineering department we also have our own engineering department where we can answer our customers engineering questions regarding any tower crane or hoist issues.

Bespoke
Many customers require a hoist to be tailored to their building design and HTC can provide a bespoke, dependable solution to meet the requirement.

Road Closure & Traffic Management Arrangements
As many tower cranes are erected and dismantled by a mobile crane within public roads we can provide road closures and traffic management if required. We have a good relationship with many local highways departments.

HTC Mobile Cranes
Where we can we will provide our own mobile cranes for the erection and dismantle of our tower cranes, as opposed to cross hiring one. We have a 200 tonne and 250 tonne capacity mobile cranes and in using our own mobile crane operators who have had several years experience erecting cranes it makes for an efficient operation.

HSE
We have a good relationship with the Health and Safety Executive and on several occasions we have asked them if they could visit us to discuss various subjects within the tower crane industry. Any new legislation or best practice guides are reflected in our procedures immediately so our customers know they are working with a company who is adhering to everything we should be.

CAD Facilities
All schemes can be demonstrated by way of CAD drawings.

CITB Approved Training Centre
As well as keeping our own workforce completely up to date with the latest qualifications we can also train others to achieve recognised qualifications. This can be done at our head office in Sheffield, our facility at Preston Brook, Runcorn or on site or at your offices.

PPM (Preventative Planned Maintenance) Programme
Every crane and hoist prior to erection is subject to our comprehensive electrical and mechanical PPM programme. This will minimise downtime allowing our customers to keep on programme. Recent best practice guides are a reflection of what has always been HTC’s policy, in many ways HTC being used as a bench mark for other industries.

Servicing
We service every erected tower crane and hoist at set intervals to ensure oil levels are correct, mechanical parts greased and that the crane is in good working order. Again this adheres to best practice guides which has always been a policy of HTC.

Independent Examinations
We have always employed a third party engineering company to examine our cranes after erection and at 6 monthly intervals. Whilst a lifting device is only required to be examined every 12 months, when lifting people this is reduced to every six months. It has always been the policy of HTC to have every crane independently examined every 6 months regardless. Our customers can then rest assured that should they need to use a man – basket at any time during the crane hire the crane is certified to do so.

All Hoists are independently examined after installation and following their final climb.

Auditing
Any customer or potential customer is more than welcome to audit us at one of our depots so we can demonstrate the systems, policies and procedures we have in place.

Branding
All our operators, erectors, electricians, fitters and service personnel wear company branded PPE. This includes high visibility coat and vest, overalls, hard hat, combat trousers, bomber style jackets and polo T shirts. This shows how professional we are and gives an impression of the type of company our customer is employing.

Advertising
We can provide 3m x 1m illuminated advertisement signs to hang under the back jib of our tower cranes enabling our customers to advertise both their company name and their client name.

Accessories
Together with illuminated signs HTC can provide chain packs, skips, operator rescue systems, brick forks and any other item to be used to meet site requirements. All lifting accessories are part of our independent inspection procedure.
